Haven Craig Tara Sports & Leisure

Splashaway Bay is the star attraction here - one of Scotland's biggest indoor swimming pool complexes. If you're over 1m tall you can tackle the multi-lane slides; the flumes need 1.2m and Noodle Falls rapids call for 1.4m. There are gentler water features dotted about for younger swimmers too.

The Lighthouse Harbour Adventure Village runs come rain or shine. The Crazy Climber tests your nerve as you scale upwards. Want something different? Try The Jump or The Drop for a proper adrenaline hit... and the Extreme Drop takes things further still!

NERF Training Camp mixes paintball-style excitement with the speed of basketball and you won't find it anywhere outside Haven parks. Archery coaching helps you fire arrows with precision, while Batfast lets you face virtual bowlers across cricket, tennis and baseball.

Kids can master the Junior Segways and the Mini Aerial Adventure suits younger children testing their agility. Kart hire puts pedal power to work around the track and Indoor Airspace keeps things going whatever the weather does outside.

Outside, the crazy golf course throws in bigger, wilder obstacles than most and the shuffleboard tables are good for a competitive family face-off. The Football Dartboard challenges all ages to aim, kick and score high.

Some activities are subject to a moderate extra charge

Food & Drink at Craig Tara Holiday Park

The Brigs of Ayr restaurant is the main dining spot, with sea views that match the food. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and works just as well for a full meal as it does for drinks together as a family. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace too!

Chopstix serves freshly cooked noodles with tasty toppings and sizzling sides, perfect when you fancy something quick with a bit of Asian flavour. Burger King has expanded its indoor seating, so more of you can tuck into those signature burgers together.

Papa Johns delivers proper pizza takeaway right on park, so there's no need to venture anywhere else when the craving strikes. Cook's Fish and Chips Van brings the taste of the coast with traditional fish and chips done properly.

For something sweet, Seaside Treats does ice cream, waffles and coffee, Bertie's Ice Cream is the spot for cool treats on warmer days and Millie's Cookies bakes fresh goodness whenever you need a sugar fix.

The Mini Market stocks everyday essentials, hot snacks, meals and souvenirs - everything from forgotten toothpaste to last-minute gifts, so you can grab breakfast bits or snacks without leaving the park.

Kids Will Love

Craig Tara really goes above and beyond when it comes to keeping the kids busy. Activikids classes, for 5 to 10 year olds, pack in obstacle courses, relay races and sports games - a great chance for them to make new friends while running off some steam. Activitots sessions do the same job for 2 to 4 year olds, working on balance and co-ordination through games the whole family can join in with.

There are some lovely quieter options too. The sensory room gives young children a calm space to play with bubbles and smell tubes, while the interactive sand play lets them build a prehistoric world in the sand for computer-generated dinosaurs to roam across.

Beyond the sports, kids love getting stuck into the Slime Creations sessions, making their own gooey concoctions to take home. Join in the make-a-bear classes too, sometimes hosted by the Seaside Squad, where the kids can build their own bear and bring home a proper souvenir of the holiday.

In the evenings, head to Bonga Wonga and the Live Lounge together for interactive shows put on daily and the arcade is a firm family favourite for a few rounds of the classics.

Haven Accommodation at Craig Tara

Caravans form the backbone of accommodation at Craig Tara, offering comfortable self-catering stays with everything a family needs. Different grades suit various budgets and group sizes, with four-night breaks the starting point.

Lodges are a step up in space and comfort, ideal for larger families or groups wanting extra room. They bring more home comforts while keeping that holiday feel and four-night lodge stays run throughout the season.

Dog-friendly accommodation is available across the park and well-behaved dogs can even join you in designated areas of the main restaurant. The nearby beach welcomes dogs too, so your four-legged family members get a proper holiday as well!

Golf breaks combine accommodation with access to local courses, while Christmas, New Year and festive breaks run through the winter months for a seasonal getaway. Bedding is made up ready for your arrival, so you can settle straight in.
