Some of our favourite family days out in Essex include:-
Marsh Farm
Marsh Farm is one of our favourite family attractions in Essex. Children can get up close to farm animals, play safely in the adventure play areas and enjoy lunch in the beautiful tea room and picnic areas.
Set out over 20 acres you won't know which activity to try first! Just a few worth a mention include the tractor and trailer ride, petting animals in the pet barn, pony rides and a walk through aviary. We are sure the whole family will have happy memories after a day out at Marsh Farm.
Hedingham Castle
An ideal family outing is a visit to Hedingham Castle and it's breathtaking grounds. The castle was built in C1140 by Aubrey de Vere and is still owned by one of his descendants today. With it's 12 walks there is a lot to explore here.
You will also find a magnificent banqueting hall with a minstrels gallery plus one the finest Norman arches in England.
Beautiful grounds, peaceful woodland and lakeside walks with special events all through the year make Hedingham Castle well worth a visit.
